Last fall I indicated that we were reviewing the
literature on child abuse in institutions (e.g., churches, schools) and
organizations (e.g., scouts, sports), in an attempt to better define its nature
and harm. A draft of this review is now available. Persons interested
in being part of a "virtual expert panel" to comment on this draft are now being
sought. For further information please contact me directly, per email below.

The report, entitled "Toward A Healthier Massachusetts for Children (1994)," is more descriptive, but it does describe a number of school-based intervention programs (some with evaluations incorporated into the program) designed to prevent some types of student problems included in your list. Subsequent evaluators were hired to produce annual evaluation reports. You could start by writing the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of Mass DOE (Malden, MA). I would be interested to learning about other evaluations you uncover. Good Luck. David S. Robinson, Ed.D.
