found to be effective, according to 1997,1998 meta-analyses by Doris
MacKenzie at the University of Maryland (one of the titles is What Works in
Corrections: an Examination of Rehabilitation Programs Offered by
Washington State Department of Corrections. College Park, MD: Crime
