Nurse Education

I am senior nursing student at Thomas Jefferson University doing a research paper to identify if there is a gap between nursing education of the pediatric nurse related to assessing and treating patients that have been sexually abused. Do you have any information on this topic? Or, do you know where I might find some?

Your literature eview looks faily complete. I would suggest that you look
into the work of (1) Sobsey and Doe (1991), particularly "Patterns of sexual
abuse and assault" in Sexuality and Disability, 9 (3), 243-259 and Knutson
and Sullivan (1993) "Communicative Disorders as a risk factor in abuse",
Topics in Language Disorders, 13 (4), 1-14. Finally the International
Coalition on Abuse and Disability (ICAD) has a web page.
