Re: parenting style measure



I think it may be a mistake to assume that Baumrind's typologies apply to
or mean the same thing
among these immigrant families. I would encourage you to consider exploring
the parenting
styles that show up in these families--which may fall under completely
different categories. Baumrind's work emerged from particular cultural
circumstnaces.
