RE: Family Group Conferences / permanency planning

The answer may be very simple: there is no research on family group
conferencing of much quality or volume.

Subject: Family Group Conferences / permanency planning

Colleagues here at the School for Policy Studies, University of
Bristol, UK have asked that the following question be posted to the
list:

"We would like to know if there is any research on the use of Family
Group Conferences with families where it is not possible for the
child or young person to live with a member of their birth family on
a permanent basis. We are interested in the effect of the Family
Group Conference approach on the process of permanency planning for
the child/children."

Best wishes
