RE: Male disclosure of abuse

Joanne,

An article that I co-authored with Charette Dersch may be helpful on some of
these points. It was a gender analysis of reports of sexual abuse. We
looked at substantiation rates for the reports involving male and female
victims and did a comparison of child, case, and process variables by
gender. There also is a discriminant functions analysis of the variables
related to substantiation of reports for males and females.

The article, Male Victims of Sexual Abuse: An Analysis of Substantiaion of
Child Protective Services Reports, is published in the Journal of Child
Sexual Abuse (1999, 8(1), 27-48).

Does anyone know of any work done in the area of the disclosure of sexual
abuse/assault by males?

I am currently looking at the disclosure (and reporting) patterns of males
(and, in particular, looking to see if they have changed at all over the
past century).

Thanks in advance...
