Re: Child sexual abuse incidence
You may find "The Decline in Child Sexual Abuse Cases" (Juvenile Justice
Bulletin, January 2001) by Lisa Jones and David Finkelhor helpful:

I am a Juvenile Court Investigator in Sonoma County, California and also
teach classes at Santa Rosa Junior College. The classes are designed for
people who are planning to adopt, foster or offer kinship care to children
who are, for the most part, court dependents. I have been searching for
up-to-date information on the incidence of sexual abuse of children. I
have been using the statistics from Finkelhor, (1994 I think) but believe
the incidence rates have changed. I am aware that the incidence of reports
seems to be going down in most states. I am wondering if there are new
studies available. Thanks.
