RE: CPS Findings on Agencies/Facilities

All of the investigations are initiated after an allegation of abuse and/or
neglect is made that meets our sufficiency screen for intake. We have two
divisions that investigate. If the child was a bio child of a licensed
facility, or a child residing in or attending a licensed facility, then one
division would investigate. If the allegation was involving a family that
was not licensed, the other division would investigate. Does that make it
clearer?

You investigate birth families? On what bases are such investigations
opened?
