<DIV>I am looking for good studies of child neglect, specifically. I have
information on the University of Maryland study, and some information on the
Princeton study, as well as the Gaudin paper.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I am particularly interested in the connection between repeated hits in the
child protective system which fall below "substantiated" (with
interventions at the level of unmonitored "referral to community services")
which may lead, when the child is older, to contact with the juvenile justice
system. I have the evaluations of SDM, the two-scale rating system, etc.
and those connections (Alaska, Michigan, etc.).</DIV>

<DIV>Any help would be appreciated. </DIV>

You may find the research report 'Fathers in family centers:engaging with fathers in preventive practice' helpful. It is on the UK Research
in Practice web page at
http://www.rip.org.uk/mainmenu.html?rpu/rpu15
Another useful surce in the UK is the Joseph Rowntree Foundation research web page at JFR.org.uk (they sponsored the research noted above).
In addition, there is a current research council seminar programme (a national rolling programme of academic seminars) running on the theme
of fathers at present. A good contact would be Dr Margaret O'Brien at the University of East Anglia; she is one of the leading UK
researchers in the field and her e-mail is m.o-brien@uea.ac.uk
Hope this helps
