RE: Children exposed to adult DV
This may be helpful, although it is not that recent.
Bowker, L.H., Arbitell, M., & McFerron, J. (1988). On the relationship
between wife beating and child abuse. In K. Yllo & M. Bograd (Eds.),
Perspectives on wife abuse (pp. 158-174). Newbury Park, California: Sage.
The authors review the research linking wife battering and physical child
abuse and describe the results of a large-scale study that they conducted on
this topic. They surveyed 543 battered women who had children with their
abusers. The results indicate that in 70% of these families the abusers
were also physically abusing the children. The results further indicated
that the severity of wife abuse was positively associated with the severity
of child abuse. The authors report that battered women are more likely to
engage in help seeking behaviour if child abuse is present.

Subject: Children exposed to adult DV
I am looking for empirical data stating that adults involved in domestic
violence will seek help for their situation "because of" their children. I
believe I read this recently and can not locate the source. Was I just
wishing it to be so?
