Re: Community Prevention Project
Several years ago we developed a small project in mostly rural Kentucky
using community focus groups to develop and implement sexual abuse
prevention projects. Unfortunately, due to a sudden change in the way the
state collected abuse statistics there was no way to examine the outcome of
such projects. A description of the project and the some of the ideas the
commuity groups developed can be found in:
Paquin, G. (200). A community development approach to child sexual
abuse prevention. Family Violence and Sexual Abuse Bulletin 16(3): 18-21.
