Scholarships for UNH conference

The UNH International Research Conference on the Victimization of
Children and Youth (Aug. 4-7, 2002, in Portsmouth, NH) has additional
money this year to support scholarships and other ways to reduce the
expense of the meeting.<br>
<br>
<font size=3><b>1) </font><font size=3>Scholarships.</b> We are
offering a limited number of scholarships for graduate students and new
researchers. We especially encourage ethnic-minority students to
apply. Priority will be given to applicants who are also presenting
papers. To apply, please send a letter to our conference
administrator Melissa Averill Hurd (maverill@cisunix.unh.edu).<br>
</font><font size=3><b>2) </font><font size=3>Work-Study</b>. For
the first time this year, we have a work-study option open to students
and post-docs. Participants will work for us one day in exchange
for a waiver of registration fees. To sign-up, let Melissa
know.<br>
</font><font size=3><b>3) </font><font size=3>Roommate List.</b>
For participants traveling alone, we are also keeping a list of a people
who would like to have a roommate. This will help defray the cost
of the hotel.<br>
<br>
The deadline for abstracts is February 26. But if you are just
finding out about our conference, and need a little more time, let our
