Re: incidence of abuse among abusers
There was a neat little study several years ago where they questioned
inmates in a Texas facility and found very high ratios of child abuse
in the history of child abusers. Then they went back, interviewed the
same subjects, but told them that they would have a polygraph test
following the questioning, and that those who lied would have time
added to their sentence. This time the ratio was very low.
I used to have the reference, but that was one hard-drive failure ago.
