"Foster care" entries
<x-html><HTML><FONT FACE=arial, helvetica><FONT SIZE=2>Is there any way of figuring out how many "foster care" entries result from delinquency and mental-health placements, as opposed to child-protection placements? I understand that AFCARS defines foster care as including children in all such placements, and is not limited to what I would have thought of as foster care (i.e., placements made through the child welfare system). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear List Servers: I am interested in several statistics pertaining foster
care. Incidence of child maltreatment in foster care: breakdown of Child
protective Service Workers by ethnic background (National), breakdown of
foster parents by ethnicity, and extent of removal of children from foster
homes because of inappropriate child rearing. Thanks in advance for your
help and happy holidays to all. Lourdes Diaz
