National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges has a special Family
Violence Department, which houses a resource Center on Domestic Violence. They
put together special packets of information including current research and
recommendations to the court. You can call them and ask for their packet
entitled "Family Violence: Supervised visitation." or tell them
specifically what you are looking for. - In the aforementioned
packet, you will find articles that deal with special circumstances,
particularly in how children may be harmed when forced by the courts into
visits because the abuser "never touched the child" They also have very
good resources linking child abuse and domestic violence, and speak to the
problems between CPS and Domestic abuse advocates. All there material is free
