 >  The Section on Child Maltreatment (Section 1 of Division 37, APA) 
announces its fourth annual
 > dissertation award.  A $400 prize will be awarded to one successful 
graduate student applicant to
 > assist with expenses in conducting dissertation research on the topic of 
child maltreatment.
 > Applicants are requested to submit:
 >
 >      1) a letter of interest, indicating how the applicant would use the 
award funds toward the
 >      completion of the dissertation research;
 >      2) a 100 word abstract; and
 >      3) a five page proposal summarizing the research to be conducted.
