Ability to teach at the BSW, MSSW and PhD levels is preferred, and competence in at least two areas of the curriculum is required.  Curricular areas are:  Community & Administrative Practice; Direct Practice; HBSE; Research, and Social Policy.  Applicants must have an identified area of scholarship and potential for externally funded research (Assistant level) or a demonstrated record of scholarship and funded research (Associate level).  ABDs may be considered at the Assistant rank. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.  Applicants for Assistant/Associate Professor should e-mail or mail a letter of interest, curriculum vita, and names and full contact information for three references to: Rebecca L. Hegar, Ph.D., Professor and Search Committee Chair, The School of Social Work, The University of Texas at Arlington, Box 19129, Arlington, Texas  76019-0129, Telephone:  817-272-5357; Fax:  817-272-2046; Email:  rhegar@xxxxxxx, http://www2.uta.edu/ssw/

The main goal of the Visiting Professorship is to provide a year of research support to the appointee, who will contribute to the School’s academic endeavors.  The Visiting Professor will teach one course per semester and provide colloquia in an area of expertise to the academic community.  Candidates may direct confidential enquiries to Dean Santos H. Hernández and are encouraged to do so promptly for fullest consideration.  See http://www2.uta.edu/ssw/dvp for contact information.

Postdoctoral Fellowship:  Requires a recent Doctorate in Social Work (past three years), MSW, and at least two years post-MSW, full-time practice experience, with a strong commitment to research in the field of Child Welfare.  Appointment is for an academic year (September through May).  The goal of the Fellowship is to broaden the Fellow’s research expertise under the guidance of an established researcher in order to strengthen the Fellow’s publication record and enhance what the Fellow will bring to a permanent faculty or research position.  Candidates may contact Dr. Maria Scannapieco, Director of the Center for Child Welfare.  See http://www2.uta.edu/ssw/ postdoc for contact information.

Michelle, do you know about the multi-state (IL, WI, IA)Chafee stuff going
on in Illinois? Chapin Hall (Mark Courtney et al) is doing it based on
Mark's old stuff with Irv Piliavin at Wisconsin. I am assuming you already
have that report. It was just published, I think in Child Welfare.
Anyway, the contact person is Sherry Terao. Let me know if you need more.
