Risk assessments - child protection

Is anyone aware of papers/books/websites/etc which provide brief summaries 
of key points in risk assessments in child protection, particularly in 
initial responses to allegations of child abuse (section 47 enquiries)?

Preferably to cover the four registration categories used in England - 
sexual, physical, emotional abuse, and neglect.

It is hoped to use the information for social workers to refer to in an 
appendix to a local authority child protection procedures.
