Differential levels and patterns of spanking across various demographic variables, including income, education, race, religion and region is a fairly robust finding. Another fairly robust finding is that journalists seem to be incapable of reporting these data without grafting their own wildly speculative explanation onto it. Gameboys and IM? Come on.
