Position opening in child maltreatment prevention research

Funding is anticipated to hire one post-doctoral fellow interested in
joining an applied program of research in child maltreatment prevention.
Primary responsibilities include project management of a funded
collaborative early preventive intervention study, including data
management, overseeing implementation of intervention services,  
assistance with grantwriting, report and article writing. Depending upon
interest and fit, additional opportunities may exist for direct practice
work, data analysis with related datasets, and/or program development
activities. 

The successful candidate will have experience in applied research and
practice with high risk families, enjoy the challenges of working within a
highly collaborative and dynamic start-up, demonstrate outstanding
communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. This innovative
study forms a collaborative initiative with a major health care provider
and private child welfare agency in the heart of New York City.  It is
situated at the Columbia University School of Social Work, one of the
premier schools of social work in the nation, home to numerous applied
research projects and centers concerned with at-risk children and
families.

Search for this position will continue until start-up in the Fall.
Although this position is listed as a post-doctoral fellowship requiring a
Ph.D., very highly qualified and experienced individuals with Masters
degrees in fields related to child maltreatment prevention and applied
