Undergraduate Research Award Call For Proposals
                    American Psychological Association
                Division 37, Section on Child Maltreatment

The Section on Child Maltreatment (of APA Division 37: Child, Youth, and
Family Services), announces a $100 award and one-year membership in the
Section for undergraduate students who have completed outstanding research
papers on child maltreatment.

Eligibility: Undergraduates who have completed an independent research
project (e.g., capstone or thesis projects) within approximately a year of
the deadline are eligible. Students might have designed and completed data
collection independently or conducted analyses of data from other on-going
projects.  The student should have conducted an independent literature
search, selected factors to examine, assisted with data analysis, and be
the primary author on the paper submitted for the award.

Submission process:  The student and a sponsoring faculty member should
submit:

n     The paper itself (an APA-style paper summarizing the project and its
results),

n     A cover letter of nomination from the faculty advisor attesting to
the originality of the research, and the circumstances of its origin (e.g.,
lab class assignment, senior thesis), and giving the contact information
for the student nominee and the faculty advisor.
