Job Opportunity:  Program Evaluator/Local Research Partner needed for a
three-year federal demonstration project located in Grafton County, New
Hampshire.  Project seeks to enhance collaborations among the courts, child
protective services, and domestic violence organizations and to improve
interventions in families experiencing domestic violence and child
maltreatment.  


FULL DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS: 

Definition of Work:  The Greenbook Project for Grafton County is a
comprehensive study designed to improve coordination among the systems that
address child maltreatment, domestic violence, and the Courts.   This is
highly responsible work in the New Hampshire judicial, child protective and
domestic violence advocacy systems.  Work involves strategic planning, the
development of logic models, outcomes and information management for the
Grafton County demonstration site for the Greenbook Project.  The local
research partner will be an integral part of the Project's cross-system
collaboration and will serve as liaison between Grafton County and the
Federal Initiative's National Evaluation Team.  The program evaluator will
work with each of the primary partners, the Administrative Office of the
Courts, Grafton County Courts, DCYF and the NHCADSV, as well as with various
community-based service providers in the areas of child maltreatment and
domestic violence, to coordinate site-level data collection and analysis
about the demonstration site as well as develop a system for ongoing
assessment and information management.

Examples of the Work Performed:  (The position may not include all of the
duties listed, nor do the examples cover all of the duties performed.)
		* Ensure that the Grafton County Demonstration Site has
adequate criteria for monitoring 
		   and evaluation;
		* Assist the demonstration site in strategic planning by
utilizing the tools of empirical 
		   research to answer questions important to the site;
	* Develop or augment data collection;
		* Participate in local planning meetings and national
meetings attended by site leadership
		   pertaining to this initiative, so that he or she may be a
full participant in finding ways to 
		   successfully move this project forward;
	* Design and implement evaluation and assessment tools;
		* Coordinate site-level data collection and analysis for the
National Evaluation by 
		   collecting information, arranging visits by national
evaluation staff, preparing site 
		   reports, and monitoring progress regarding data
collection and evaluation.

Desirable Education and Experience: 
	* Minimum of Master's Degree with field experience in information
management;
	* Background in research and evaluation;	 
		* Must have strong organizational skills, be able to
demonstrate excellent written and oral 
		   communication skills;
	* Experience working with domestic violence and child maltreatment
issues preferred;
		* Knowledge of state, and federal program services regarding
families and young 
		   children, including the legal system and DCYF. 

Position Reports To:  The Greenbook Project Director and to the Project's
Executive Committee.
  
Recommended Labor Grade:   $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 plus benefits; May
consider a contractual and/or post-doctoral fellowship-type relationship
with terms/compensation to be determined.
