Karen - It's possible some of what you want can be gotten from sources
such as "No Safe Haven: Children of Substance-Abusing Parents" (CASA,
1/99: I don't have their web address handy). Try www.childabuse.org
There is also "Trends in the Well-being of America's Children and Youth,
1999" DHHS (http://aspe.hhs.gov/hsp/99trends/index.htm) Also the NCANDS
data in "Child Maltreatment 1998" (latest one I have) -
http://www.acf.dhhs.gov/programs/cb
Also the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information is
often my best resource. Try contacting Sandi McLeod there at
mcleods@calib.com
Good luck. Peggy
