recently saw data for New York cases regarding this issue. In 1998, 40% of
indicated or substantiated cases were closed on the same day as the indication.
Karen Schimke, Executive Director of the Schuyler Center for Analysis and

I need to know what states can go to court and get
services mandated for child abuse and neglect cases that have been
substantiated but are not needing removal of the children. Here in AZ families
can refuse services and the case gets closed. A large number of our
substantiated cases close with no services. We think this is really
problematic and want to advocate for change. Can anyone help. Thank
you.

Hello, my name is Eryn Goben and I am a graduate student and researcher for
the Children and Family Research Center at the School of Social Work,
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

I am searching for articles on children with developmental disabilities who
are abused and articles on adults with developmental disabilities who
abuse. I have had very little luck locating any in large databases, such
as Eric, Medline, or Psychinfo. If anyone knows of any articles related
to this subject I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
