Re: Professional resistance to working with trauma

very interesting study.  I am wondering how she is defining "professional resistance" because what comes to mind in regards to your question is the literature about both counter-transference issues in dealing with csa and secondary trauma....

Subject: Professional resistance to working with trauma

A doctoral student who is doing a grounded theory study on professional responses to adult survivors of CSA has asked me to enquire of the
list whether anyone has experience of, or references to, professional resistance to working with trauma. This is emerging as a key issue in
her data.
Any assistance will be appreciated.
