<DIV>I am looking into the various coping skills, aspects and personal 'rules'
for child protection, social worker and other professional's working in the
field of child maltreatment and family violence.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>What skills does one use in the way of dealing with the day to day work.
What aspects of work or family life does one find more rewarding in helping to
deal with violence, pain and suffering a worker may encounter each day. Are
there any personal rules that may work for one and not another. Examples may be
humour, religion, family, outside activities (high risk and other), etc...</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Any assistance in research materials will be of tremendous value. I have a
start on this (locally available sources) but others may have additional
material and sources that can be helpful.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Thanks for the assistance ahead of time.</DIV>

I'm not sure that I can help, but I have just begun a list for discussion
around issues of juveniles who commit sexual offenses. To subscribe send
the following message:

subscribe JASO-TREATMENT-LIST firstname lastname.

The list is open to professionals providing treatment and/or doing research
on the topic. Please feel free to forward this to any interested persons.

Thanks,
