Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Job
Description
Stop
It Now! seeks a CEO to report to the Board of Directors and oversee the
development and management of Stop It Now!, including its mission and policies,
operations and programs, financial status and all aspects of the organization's
administration. Upon joining the
organization, the CEO will work closely with the founding CEO during a period in
which the Founder is available to support the transition, particularly in the
areas of external affairs and fundraising.
Stop
It Now! is an eleven year old national network at the forefront of preventing
the sexual abuse of children. We
have moved the field of prevention from a sole focus on childhood victimization
to one that motivates adults to stop sexual abuse before it starts. By pioneering an innovative application
of public health methods, we have shown that people at risk to abuse will hold
themselves accountable by seeking help and coming forward. Stop It Now! was founded by a survivor
who recognized that the prevailing methods of prevention would not eradicate
child sexual abuse. The
organization makes extensive use of locally based sites and national
partnerships to accomplish its goals.
