Re: Domestic violence effects on parenting

Woochan:
I have forwarded your inquiry to colleagues at MINCAVA, the Minn. Center Against Violence and Abuse. A few of the staff, including Dr. Jeff Edleson, the Center's Director, are working on a project on this topic.
Good Luck,
Anna

I am doing a study on effects of domestic violence on parenting. I have
just started collecting classic and recent articles on this topic. Since
some of you are experts on this topic, I would like to ask you for your
thoughts and some suggestions on how to go about doing literature review on
this topic.
I am especially interested in 1) the mother's perspective on their parenting
abilities-whether they think or are aware of the effects of domestic
violence on their parenting; and 2) the service providers' perspective on
victims' parenting which, I think, is related to the issue of "failure to
protect" perspective.
Thank you.
