RE: training of child welfare caseworkers

In our field, I suppose anything may contribute to anything on a
case-by-case basis. However, I have not seen empirical research implicating
mental illness as a significant risk factor for child abuse. I teach some
decision making/risk assessment classes for CWS workers and would be most
interested in citations regarding such a potential link.

I am trying to find information about child protection service workers
training. Are CPS workers trained in understanding/identifying the
possibility of comorbidity between mental illness and child abuse?
