Intro & question
Hello--
I just joined this list, and am excited to join the conversation and learn
from all of you. Just to let you know who I am, I am a Ph.D. candidate at
Tufts University in Child Development/Clinical Developmental Psychology,
and I have been working with young children typically classified as
"at-risk" (in one form or another) for the last 25 years. My current
interests and research focus on young children and violence. I am
currently working on a dissertation proposal on the effects on and status
of siblings of children who die as a result of child abuse or neglect. If
any of you have experience with that subject (I think I have found most of
the few research articles with that particular focus, but would welcome
more!) or would like to throw your two cents in, I would love to hear from
you. My particular concerns at the moment are about accessing the
population, and the dearth of information/focus on that particular
population of children. Any comments/questions/suggestions/references
would be most welcome.
Glad to join you.
