RE: culturally competent practices
I just ran across an article yesterday on this. The citation is:
Leung, P. Cheung, K. M., & Stevenson, K. M. (1994). A strengths approach to
ethnically sensitive practice for child protective service workers. Child
Welfare, 73(6), 707-?
This is evidently a follow-up to an earlier article on the same topic.
Stevenson, K. M., Cheung, K. M., & Leung, P. (1992) New approach to training
child protective services workers for ethnically sensitive practice. Child
Welfare, 71, 291-305.
Both Dr. Leung and Dr. Cheung are at the University of Houston Graduate
School of Social Work if you wanted more information.

Thanks,
