Frank Ascione has just published a book (1999?) about this and Barbara Boat
is another author. I cover this for a couple of lectures in my family
violence class and have found a dearth of research. For your dissertation,
you may have to expand your focus to animal
cruelty in terms of precursors to conduct disorder, and by way of that,
bring in the child abuse issue since there's so little research for your
introduction.
