CALL FOR PAPERS Please submit your manuscript that examines issues of families and family separations and connections to the Family Preservation Journal by Nov. 1, 2003. Marianne Berry is the new editor of the Family Preservation Journal, and seeks to continue to publish high quality manuscripts on research, practice models, and practitioner insights in the broad arena of the preservation of families. The Family Preservation Journal defines family preservation very broadly, and accepts manuscripts concerning all problems, populations, policies, and programs dealing with the separation of children and families, be it foster care, juvenile detention, parental incarceration, and so. We consider articles at the individual, community and policy level. Our editorial board contains such luminaries in the field as Peter Pecora (U. Washington), Anthony Maluccio (Boston College), Ann Hartman (Smith College), Richard Barth (U. North Carolina), William Meezan (U. Michigan) and more. The editorial board is trained and advised that the journal operates from a strengths perspective when critiqueing manuscripts, and is urged to return their reviews within 4 weeks. Those who cannot follow these guidelines are removed from the editorial board. In the editorial review process, the manuscript goes out to two blind reviewers, and I, as editor, break any ties. I have served as the guest editor of the Journal for the past two issues, so I urge you to check out these issues if you are interested in the quality and types of articles we will publish under my editorship. This first year will be a transitional year, and we are operating on a very fast schedule to move from two issues per year to one issue per year. Therefore, we are issuing this Call for Papers by November 1, 2003. We hope to review, edit and publish the first issue by June, 2004. Please submit 3 copies of your manuscript, double spaced, APA to the address below by November 1, 2003.
