RE: black & white child deaths from maltreatment

Title: Message
The National Data Archive on CAN has recently published a newsletter article on fatalities using NCANDS 2000 data.  They found some differences based on race.  try www.ndacan.cornell.edu.

Subject: black & white child deaths from maltreatment

In 1985, the Children's Defense Fund issued a report stating that Black children were three times as likely to die from maltreatment as white children. (Children’s Defense Fund (1985). Black and White children in America: Key facts. Washington DC: Author).

Any suggestions for finding more up-to-date info on this?
