Dear all
I am not sure if this has been recently covered on the list or
not, but I am interested in any research that examines the impact
that frequent changes in social worker/case worker has on
outcomes for maltreated children. I suspect that when the
relationship between a child and their family breaks down,
having an established trusting relationship with another adult,
such as a social worker, may act as a protective buffer on top
of any therapeutic work undertaken. If so, does frequent changes
in social worker, diminish the effectiveness of child care
services offered.
I am interested in any research that sheds light on this
issue.
