I have three earlier papers in Child Abuse and Neglect on women imprisoned
for the fatal child maltreatment type offenses, and a chapter in a book
edited by Scheper-Hughes and Sargent titled Small Wars. These publications
are based on a small in-depth qualitative study of women in prison. The
bibliographies in these papers might be of help. You would also be
interested in Rich Gelles' Book of David.
