Position Opening at Cornell University's National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect
POSITION OPENING AT CORNELL UNIVERSITY
Coordinator of Technical Services
for the National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect
Process and maintain research datasets and documentation
contributed to the Archive, which is located in the Family Life
Development Center at Cornell University.
Responsibilities include maintaining and updating Archive
holdings, writing statistical and programming code, responding to
requests for customized statistical analysis, and assisting in the
preparation of articles for publication.
Required:
* Bachelor's Degree in statistics, computer science, or a social
science.
* Minimum of 3 years related experience.
* Skills in statistical and computer programming, meticulous file
management, and database design necessary. Must have experience
with SAS or SPSS and some other computer language, including but
not limited to Perl, Visual Basic, C++, or Java. Familiarity with
FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Access, or HTML preferred.
* Submit a sample of programming code in a computer or
statistical language of your choice that illustrates facility with
programming concepts and ability to write clear, well-documented
code.
