Re: Resilience/Protective factors

I am sorry not to provide references, but one of the factors appears to be
some kind of stable and/or positive relationship or situation which helps
counteract the emotional chaos and which the child can 'hang onto' - rather
like an emotional lifebelt in a very stormy sea! From my own experience, it
was the same school from age 5-16 which helped counteract a long series of
disrupted care from adults which had occurred from a very early age. I have
to acknowledge that it is these experiences and what I have learned that has
led me to research into child development.

With best wishes for the study.
