RE: Measures for Child Welfare Workers
American Humane Association, the California Social Work Education Center
(CALSWEC)and the National Staff Development and Training Association (an
affiliate of APHSA) have been co-sponsoring a symposium on training
evaluation in the human services for the last three years. This year we are
beginning a list serve to discuss training evaluation issues. You could
contact Margaret Rainforth (rain4th@minsync.com)for more information.
Members of the group have been activiely engaged in trying to move the
evaluation of training beyond participant reaction into measurement of
outcomes and could give you ideas based on their work.

This competency assessment and effectivenss of training concern, is such a
big issue I think we could consider a specific discussion/ on-line forum of
some kind about this. Anyone interested?
