RE: > Empirically Supported/Validated SA Treatments

The NIAAA did a longitudinal research project about 5-6 years ago called
Project Match that compared the effectiveness of several treatment
modalities with regards to treating substance abuse in adults. If I'm not
mistaken they found the greatest effectiveness with the Twelve-Step model
that they standardized for their research. You can contact either the DHHS
or the NIAAA for information regarding their research. Dr. Joseph Nowinski,
PhD headed up the project according to the information I have.

Seeking your help in identifying empirically supported / validated
treatments for children, adolescents and adults with substance abuse
problems. Have done several lit searches and have identified few to
none.

	Thanks in advance.
