Margaret: In addition to the names Deba W snd 
others have  
forwarded, I would recommend Dante Cicchetti 
and some of the developmental psych research. 
In addition, the Cornell folks including James 
Garbarino etc. should be included. Also- see UNH's 
Resource Center on Child Victimization. See the 
Journal of Child Welfare, J of Child Abuse and 
NEglect, J of Children and Youth. Hopefully, 
some of the resiliency-focused research can be 
considered as well. The Child Abuse and 
Neglect Clearinghouse (National Reource Center)  
is a great 
resource for comprehensive view of the research.
