Re: stats on number of placements
Daniel Webster, Barbara Needell and I have a paper forthcoming in Child Welfare
that followed young children who remained in foster care for at least 6 years
(about one quarter of the population in CA) and examined how many placements they
had by their age and kinship/non kinship status. We also modeled placement
instability (3 or more moves) to see what contributed. Daniel has the best and
final version--he's generally reachable at UC Berkeley, School of Social Welfare,
dwebster@fwrg1.berkeley.edu, although the last I heard from him he was heading off
on a honeymoon, so.....
