Re: stress and coping in child protection workers

Within the child welfare agency in Louisiana we developed an extensive worker safety program that included critical incident response teams and debriefings for workers involved in crisis situations. We utilized the training and consulation of Bill Griffin of Independent Living Resources. They have a website
                ilrinc.com
and his Email address is ilrinc@mindspring.com.
I was actively involved in the development and implementation of the worker safety plan. Let me know if you need any other information.

I am interested in stress and coping among child protection workers. Are
people aware of existing programs, or literature relevant to the prevention
and management of both chronic and critical incident stressors faced by
these workers?
