parent to child cts measure

I am looking for some guidance in using the parent to child cts measure to assess parent to child violence. We have been conducting a longtidunal study of children of alcoholic fathers. The children are now turning 5-6 years of age, and we have extensive assessments of parenting behavior and context, and child outcomes. I would like to measure parent to child violence but am concerned about validity issues, and reporting parents for child abuse if they acknowledge some items. If anyone has experience with using this measure in a longitudinal study, as opposed to a retrospective study - we could use some guidance in the use of this measure.
