Dear Wayne,

I am responding perhaps emotionally but also with a high degree of professional concern that any or much effort is going into discovering and then relying on "identifying characteristics" of youths who can only be described in common parlance as liars.

It seems to me the question is... "Does anyone know of a reliable indicator that will tell me if an adolescent is lying about being sexually abused by a non-family member?"

The vast array of issues that the question raises for me I won't even hint at. Could you clarify the question please? I think I have misunderstood you and I apologise in advance.
