CPS Notification of Parolee release
I am not a CPS researcher, but my office, the California State Auditor,
evaluates government programs, including CPS programs. I realize this
list is focused on research issues, rather than CPS practice issues, so
I hope that these questions are at least somewhat research-related:
Is anybody aware of any mandatory notification requirements upon release
of a convicted child abusers?
If so, who is notified (i.e. the court, CPS, custodial parent)?
If not, what measures, if any, should be taken to protect the child from
reabuse?
Do courts contemplate subsequent release of a convicted abuser, and
impose any restrictions on subsequent contact?
Are there any research studies on reabuse by convicted child abusers?
