Anger Management Research

Does anyone have any information on the state of the research on the use of 
anger management programs with abusive parents.  These programs are usually 
part of a reunification program for abusive parents.  Have they been found to 
be effective?  Has any particular program been given "top ratings" due to 
their research on effectiveness?  What is considered the "state-of-the-art " 
in anger management programs for abusive families.  Thanks,
