Dear Kim,

If you are trying to locate stats on the abuse of children in day care, the
NCANDS report, Child Maltreatment 1999:  Reports from the States to the
National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System, has a category showing the
relationship of the perpetrator to the victim.  One of the specific
relationships identified is "child day care provider".  This report is
available in full text online via the Children's Bureau web site at:
http://www.acf.dhhs.gov/programs/cb/.  It is located under the heading
"Scope and Problem of Child Maltreatment".
