As a Masters Student, I am undertaking a small area of clinical research,
using selected people from my own patient group. I, along with others, am
fascinated and continually humbled by the resilience displayed by some
young people in the face of what seems to be overwhelming adversity...
usually in early to middle childhood.
My literature search has alerted me to several measures/scales which may
be useful for my work.. but are not available through my university
library.
I would be most grateful if anyone has any ideas, or validated measures
that I could consider.
Some of the ones that I have been hunting for are:
Modified life Events scale (28 item) from Herzog, Linder & Samaha 1982
	Rutter's Malaise Score 1976
Loneliness scale, Parent Mastery scale and Mastery scale, Gore & Aseltine
(1995)
Reports of Parent's behaviour Scale, Spaccarelli (1995)
Interpersonal Support evaluation list (Cohen & Hoberman, (1983)
Optimism Scale adapted by Himelein & Mc Elrath from Wernstien's 1980 scale
Dispositional resilience Scale from Gibson & Cook (1997)
resilient Characteristics questionnaire (after O'Gorman 1994) from Chambers
& Belicki
any help at all would be greatly appreciated
thank you
