Re: Childhood Trauma
This was addressed as a risk factor in the original work by Michael Rutter on
risk and the probability of psychiatric disorder among children. He looked at
"placement in care" outside the home for any reason, and found that it (along
with just about any 3 or more other risk factors, which of course often cluster
together) was a powerful predictor of poor outcomes for children.
